Ramzi Iliya
Senior Structural Engineer
Ramzi has spent most of his engineering career in the UK, Middle East and Asia. He has a deep understanding of the analysis, design, detailing, fabrication and construction of large-scale steel elements for major infrastructure projects. He has spent several decades involved in the design and construction of bridges. Working with Ramboll UK on the Queensferry Crossing cable-stayed bridge project, he played a key role in the development of shop drawings, fabrication and quality procedures and geometry control. Previously, he worked as Senior Engineer for the fabrication/construction of the Sheik Zayed Bridge project in Abu Dhabi, before taking up a position as Senior Technical Engineer on the San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge project working with T.Y. Lin/MoffattNichol. Ramzi holds civil engineering degrees from the University of Texas, Austin, and the University of California at Berkeley and is a Chartered Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (UK).
