Rory Armstrong
Engineering Manager
Rory began his engineering career in the Aerospace industry. Graduating as an Aeronautical Engineer from the University of Glasgow in 2014 and then becoming a design engineer designing interior components of the Airbus A350. He then spent a year in a large manufacturing plant assisting in the production of large forgings used in the energy, aerospace, automotive and construction industries. Following this role, he then joined Rosewich and never looked back. At Rosewich he provides key engineering support including analysis of large point cloud survey files, Finite Element Analysis during any design/design verification projects and large-scale data analysis with the aim of ensuring safety, efficiency, and feasibility in all aspects of our work. As he has many years’ experience with several CAD software’s he also assists in the modelling and detailing of many of the large-scale complex steel detailing projects we take on.
He is currently a graduate member of the Institute of Civil Engineers and is working towards becoming a chartered Engineer in the UK. He has previously completed a CSWIP Visual Welding Inspector certification and is proficient in Tekla, AutoCAD Civil 3D, 3D Reshaper, Inventor, LUSAS and more.
